Jo Bill Bednar
Joe Bill "JB" Bednar of Oklahoma City, Okla., passed away peacefully at his home October 31, 2016. Born on January 14, 1925 to Joseph and Freda Bednar, JB was a brick mason by trade. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Bob Thein; sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Vernie Airington; granddaughter, Angela Menasco, and beloved wife of 66 years, Idabell. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Vernon DeMoss of Oklahoma City; four loving daughters: Linda Jones, Beverly McDaniels, JoElla Bednar, and Cheryl Gilbert; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Chicken Poppa, as he was lovingly known by his grandkids, was a sweet and powerful man with an infectious laugh. He made an everlasting impact on those who knew him and Heaven has gained another angel. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 5, at Memorial Park Cemetery.
