He leaves his wife Peggy, his son Gerald (Jerry) Morrison and his wife Carolyn, his grandson Jeremy Morrison, granddaughter Brooke Sajovic, and great grandsons Colton and Dane.
Peggy's entire extended family of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren provided unparalleled comfort and support to Frank in his waning years.
Frank graduated high school in 1939 and was active throughout school in several sports. He attended and wrestled at The University of Oklahoma until he joined and became the educational advisor for the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). After his stint in the CCC, Frank enlisted in the Navy in 1942 and served during WWII. He established the advanced airborne electronics radio school in Corpus Christi. After the war, Frank was discharged in 1946.
Frank returned to Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1946 and held many SWBT positions across Oklahoma as well as with AT&T Labs in New York City. He retired from SWBT after 43 years in 1985 as the director of Bell independent relations. He never incurred a "sick day" in 43 years.
Frank was active in the Lions Club, Kiwanas Club, Telephone Pioneers of America, Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, Northside YMCA, Moose Lodge, and served as Deacon and Elder in the Christian Church.
Frank married Lauretta Bode on August 31, 1941. They spent 59 wonderful years together and after retirement travelled extensively through the United States and Canada in three successive motor homes. Frank and Lauretta loved to ballroom dance and were active members of the Yukon Moose Lodge kicking up their heels on a weekly basis.
After Lauretta's death in 2000, Frank Married Peggy Weaver in 2002. Frank and Peggy enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and being with their family.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Baggerley Funeral Home in Edmond, Okla. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any organization supporting our veterans or to a charity of your choice.
Even though he has laid down the gavel as patriarch of our family, his memory and the favorable impact he has had on our lives will remain with us forever.
