Patti Lee Riley of Frisco, Texas died May 24, 2017, following a three year long battle with MSA-C (Multiple Systems Atrophy - Cerebellum) and Spinocerebellar Ataxia. There will be a Celebration of Life memorial held in Texas on June 1, 2017 from 4 - 7 p.m. at Del Webb Frisco Lakes at the Village Center, 7277 Frisco Lakes, Frisco, Texas. The funeral service will be held in Oklahoma on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church at 200 Ash St, Wellston, OK 74881.
Mrs. Riley was born Patti Lee Pickens in Oklahoma City, Okla. on July 25, 1944. She was the daughter of Clifford Leroy Pickens and Vivian Ruby Roark-Pickens-Rodriguez. Patti graduated from Midwest City High School in 1962. She met the love of her life, Donald Leroy Riley, her freshman year while attending Central State College. They married on January 25, 1964 and had three children. After earning a degree in accounting, she worked as a CPA for many years, including serving as president of the Oklahoma City Chapter of the Oklahoma Society of CPA's from 2000-2001. In 2002, she was awarded Outstanding Member in Industry Award by the Oklahoma Society of CPA's. Then in 2005, Patti graduated with her MBA from the University of Central Oklahoma before moving to Texas in 2006. She worked for companies that included Kerr McGee and Epworth Villa in Oklahoma before retiring from Cantex in Carrollton, Texas three years ago when her battle with Ataxia first began.
Patti truly loved her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald Riley, of Frisco, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Susan Riley, of Tulsa, Okla.; daughter and son-in-law, Joel and Michelle Towles, of Corinth, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Christy Riley, of Little Elm, Texas; also five grandsons, Dillan Towles, of Corinth, Texas; Joel Byron Towles, of Dallas, Texas; Ian Riley, of Tulsa, Okla.; Caleb and Brock Riley, of Little Elm, Texas; three granddaughters, Nicole Nash, of Edmond, Okla.; Natalie Rousey, of Yukon, Okla.; Megan Towles, of Corinth, Texas; two great grandchildren, Grayson Towles, of El Reno, Okla.; RyLee Rousey, of Yukon, Okla.; one sister, Jane Olson, of Pheonix, Ariz.; one brother, Mike Pickens, of OKC, Okla.; also survived by several nephews, nieces, cousins and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Clifford Pickens and Ruby Roark-Pickens-Rodriguez; and one great grandson, James Nash. Memorials may be made to the National Ataxia Foundation.
