I was born to Leettie (Platz) and Joe Camblin on March 16, 1931, at my residence in Edmond, Okla. and the last of six children: Eathel Faye Kelly, Ethel Mae Roylance, Eleanor Morton, Bill Camblin, Berta Mae Camblin, all preceding me in death, as well as my parents. Also preceding me in death, nephew/son Robert Johnson.
I attended Clegern Grade School, first through sixth grade and Edmond High School, seventh through 12th grade, graduating in 1949. I went to Hill's Business College for one year. After that I worked as the secretary to the branch manager of a wholesale furniture company for three years.
I married Myrt Johnson in 1951. Our family was complete with the arrival of three children during the next five years. Myrt passed away in 1995.
After our children were partially grown, I went to work at Standard Life and Accident Insurance Company for 27 years, retiring in 1995.
My survivors are two daughters, Linda Causey and son-in-law, David of Luther, Okla., and Marilyn Greenroyd of Edmond, and one son Eddie Johnson and daughter-in-law, Chris of Choctaw, Okla.
My grandchildren are Tracy Radcliff and husband Tim and their children, McKenzie, Ryan and Maddox of Edmond; Nick Greenroyd and wife Misty of Jones, Okla., and daughter Lily and Jerrod Johnson of Norman, Okla.; also, Wade Causey and family of Gilbert, Ariz; and one great great grandson, Kash Ryan Gibson.
My death occurred on July 3, 2016, due to natural causes. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 8, at Baggerley Funeral Home of Edmond. Graveside services will follow at 12:15 p.m. at the Arcadia IOOF Cemetery. Please wear casual clothes.
