Karen Eileene Anderson, 69, of Edmond, Okla., passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016, in Oklahoma City, Okla. Karen was born February 10, 1947, in Guthrie, Okla., to Tom and Edna (Wakeman) Beck. She married Wilbur L. Anderson, Jr. on Christmas Day in 1966 in Guthrie.
She loved caring for her family as a homemaker as well as volunteering with her church and working with the election board.
She is survived by her husband, Wilbur (Jacky) Anderson, Jr. of Edmond; three daughters, Karri Nickel and husband Frank of Edmond, Lisa Weaver and fiancé Jeff Woolsey of Moore, and Sonja Loucks and husband Aaron of Edmond; two sisters, Joyce Beck of Cashion and Gloria Beck of Cashion. Karen also leaves behind five precious grandchildren (who were ALL her favorites), Annamarie, MaKayla, Jacob, Logan and Trevor; and one great-grandchild, Bentley. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, November 17, at First Christian Church of Edmond. Matthews Funeral Home of Edmond is overseeing the service. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Karen to Breakfast on Boulevard through First Christian Church, 201 East 2nd Street, Edmond, OK 73013 or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
