Isabella "Maria" Landrum Uchebo, age 72-1/2, died peacefully with family by her side on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Baptist Hospice House in Oklahoma City after a brief struggle with cancer. Maria, or sometimes called "Belle," was born December 4, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas to the late John P. Landrum and Isabelle "Lee" Landrum, and was their only child.
She enjoyed traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends, baking pumpkin bread and loved being a volunteer foster grandparent at Russell Dougherty Elementary in Edmond, where the teachers and the students would brighten her days.
Maria will be greatly missed by many and is survived by her daughter Judith Ann Johnson and son-in-law Russell Johnson; son David Brian Haley and daughter-in-law Lorraine Haley; son Frank Alan Cason, stepson Daryl Hazelton and stepdaughter-in-law Betty Hazelton; grandchildren, Elichia Martin and Thad Martin, Taryn Johnson, Jeay Johnson, Kyley Johnson, David Haley II and Niecy Haley, Amber Haley, James Hazelton, Kathleen Hazelton and great grandchildren Jocelyn Martin and Emerson Martin.
Family will hold a private celebration of her life.
