Carla May Blackwell, 56-year-old resident of Midwest City, Okla., passed away February 12, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was born February 25, 1960 in Wichita, Kan. She was the daughter of Carl Raymond Blackwell and Myrl Katheryn (O'Dell) Blackwell.
Carla was a longtime history teacher at Edmond Santa Fe High School. She sponsored many after school activities over the years. Carla loved knitting and sewing, watching tennis, fishing, camping and reading.
Survivors include her mother, Myrl Blackwell of Laverne, Okla.; one brother, Gus (Joanna) Blackwell of Laverne; three sisters, Stella Bass of Midwest City, Okla., Cathy (David) Creagh of Gurnee, Ill., and Donna (Michael) Sinclair of Washington, D.C., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., OKC, OK 73141 with burial to follow at Kolb Cemetery, Spencer, Okla.
