Shirley Ann (Chandler) Anderson, age 64, passed away May 1, 2016. She was born March 28, 1952, in Guthrie, OK to Wilbur Donald (Hoppy) and Lela Ruth (Biggs) Chandler of Edmond, OK.
Shirley married the love of her life Lindsey Steven Anderson on June 21, 2010. Shirley and Lindsey lived happily on 5 acres of land in Jones, OK. Shirley loved animals and wanted to take every stray animal she saw home with her. Shirley had 4 dogs that she loved dearly. Shirley had a book published in 2015 named "An Oklahoma Tragedy" based on a true story in 1939 in Navina, OK.
Shirley attended school in Guthrie and Graduated from Guthrie High School in 1970. She also graduated from OSU-OKC in 2000 with an Associate's Degree of Applied Science and Management. Shirley was a Christian and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Guthrie She worked as a Legal Secretary for several years and retired.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband Lindsey and two sons Curtis Kent Smith and Cory Don Taylor and his wife Jennifer, her 3 step-children Todd Collier, Tiffany Bennett, Stephanie Anderson, her step grandchildren Paige Collier and Zachary Howell, her parents Hoppy & Lela Chandler and her brother David Wilbur Chandler.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Carl and Irene Biggs and paternal grandparents Arnold and Velma Chandler. She is also preceded in death by one step child Tamara Anderson.
The memorial service will be held at Guthrie Christian Church, 1802 W. Logan in Guthrie, OK on Saturday, May 7 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to American Humane Society.
