Sandy Lou Stewart


Sandy Stewart of Edmond, Okla., passed away Jan. 31, 2019 at the age of 71.
Sandy was born in Hastings, Neb. on Dec. 5, 1947. She graduated from Edmond High School in 1966, and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from UCO in 1991.
She spent her teenage years working in Edmond at places long gone such as the downtown Edmond Hospital, the Edmond City Pool, and The Wilson Meat plant. Remembering Edmond's past was a passion of hers and she enjoyed learning and helping people see how Edmond used to be as well as how much the city had changed and grew.
She was an incredibly giving soul and was the embodiment of generosity, tolerance and kindness to her fellow human. She gave to everyone, whether she knew them or not and kept true to her values of charity, grace, love and compassion.
She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Lois Marshall and her son Benjamin Lowell Stewart.
She is survived by her brother Rodney Marshall, her two sons Robert and Richard Stewart, and her three nieces, Janelle Salley, Julie Marshall, Jaye Bazan, as well as two grand-nieces and one grand-nephew.
Services held are private.
