She is preceded in death by her infant son Christoper Kemp Reiff; her parents Rev. Harry E. Kemp and Lela Jayne LeGro Kemp, and her older sisters, Barbara Scudder and Phyllis Worden. Roz was a teacher of English as a Second Language (Masters Degree from Columbia University Teachers College) and a graduate of Eastern (Baptist) University. She was a short term Baptist missionary to Sendai, Japan, which she revisited immediately after its tsunami. She devoted her life to ESL teaching at all levels in many institutions. She served as coordinator of ESL in the Oklahoma Department of Education before leaving that position to start the ESL program in Edmond. Roz will be remembered for her bright eyes, sweet smile and engaging disposition. She began every day with quiet time for prayer, Bible reading and communion with God. Her happiest time of life was, with her husband Jon, raising her two dear daughters Sherry and Jennifer and her foster teenager Cindy, and then seeing them married to strong Christian husbands and beginning families of their own. She continued her devotion to her family with care and attention to her granddaughters, Kylie O’Brien, Abrielle and Revae Thomas, and Keagan Giroux, and the first of his kind in her family, grandson Lincoln Giroux, age four. Her next love was meeting, teaching and ministering to international students, visitors, wives, and community members wherever found. She was a long time member of Friendship International in Edmond, and a member of Quail Springs Baptist Church. Her interests were her friends and the international and church community, and travel with her husband Jon to France, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Canada and Germany. Roz is survived by her husband Jonathan D. Reiff; her daughters Sherry E. Thomas and Jennifer M. Giroux and their husbands John Paul Thomas and Michael Douglas Giroux, all of Edmond; foster daughter Cindy Richards of Dallas, Texas, as well as grandchildren Kylie O’Brien, Abrielle and Revae Thomas, and Keagan and Lincoln Giroux, also of Edmond. Kiracofe and her husband Norm Kiracofe of Kalamazoo, Mich., brothers-in-law Winston Worden and Dave Scudder, and numerous dear nieces, nephews, cousins and their children and grandchildren.
