Patti was a longtime resident of Edmond, Okla., where she is survived by many friends and former colleges. She moved to Orlando, Fla. and finally Nashville, Tenn. to live her remaining years close to her family. In the short time that she lived in Florida and Tennessee she made lasting friendships there as well.
Although Patti developed Alzheimer's late in life, her life was long and happy thanks in part to her adventurous spirit. She traveled much of the world with friends and as a tour director with the OK Retired Citizens Travel Club.
As a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Okla., she received her bachelor of Science degree with a major in History and Education and minor in English, Spanish and Music.
Patti enjoyed her Christian Home as the director of activities and her many volunteer positions within the Edmond/Oklahoma City communities.
Patti is predeceased by her daughter-in-law Kellye Hyde (Greg) and survived by her sons Greg Hyde of Katy, Texas and Gary Hyde of Mount Juliet, Tenn., daughter-in-law Jeanne Hyde (Gary), grandchildren Ben, Jennifer, Chris, Summer, Shauna, Allyson, Kaitlyn and great-grandchildren Kaaden, Parker and Poetry. She will be missed by many.
A celebration of life will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018 at Southern Hills Christian Church, 3207 South Boulevard, Edmond, OK.
