Mark's Story

Mark Kevin Yeisley passed away December 7, 2016. He was born on March 1, 1956, in Wichita, Kan., to Cecil "Jack" and Wanda "Boots" Yeisley.
He graduated from Southwest High School in Fort Worth, Texas, excelling on both the baseball and golf teams. During college, he played for the University of Oklahoma's golf team while seeking his Petroleum Land Management degree. He also worked as an assistant pro at Twin Hills Golf Course before beginning his career as a Landman which lasted 35 years.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Mark will always remember his generous and humble spirit. He had a great faith in his Lord Jesus Christ and shared it through the way he lived. He was a true friend, a great listener, and an amazing cook. His quick-witted sense of humor always made him good for a laugh while his unending hospitality made for memorable times together. As a husband and father, he loved unconditionally. To have known Mark is to have known love.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister Christie Gordon, her husband Tom and their son Ian; wife Denee; oldest son Kevin, daughter-in-law Katie and their baby girl McKinley; daughter Kam, and son Gabriel.
Those wishing to honor Mark may do so by donating to the Parkinson's Foundation in lieu of flowers.
Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home 14624 N May Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73134. Services for Mark will be 2 p.m. December 14, First Presbyterian Church 1001 S. Rankin of Edmond, OK.
