Jewel Irene Edge, 95, of Norman, Okla. passed away October 14, 2015. She was born May 20, 1920 to Harve (Joseph) and Ivy Bigbie in Mountain View, Okla. Jewel was a member of First Baptist Church of Edmond. She was a wonderful homemaker, and a loving mother and wife. She enjoyed gardening and raising flowers. Jewel also enjoyed cooking and was well known for her pies. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren who will always remember the times of fishing and other activities with them. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Wayne Edge; daughter, Carmelita Turner and husband, Alvin; daughter-in-law, Donna Edge; grandchildren, Megan McClintock and husband, Matthew, Nathan Turner, Sara Edge-Gleason and husband, Aaron, and David Edge and wife, Ashley; great-grandchildren, Lauren McClintock, Ashten McClintock, Jonathan Turner, Rylin Edge, Gabbiella Edge, and one on the way; a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Edge; great-grandchild, Matthew and granddaughter-in-law, Laura. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the chapel of John M. Ireland Funeral Home, 120 S. Broadway, Moore, OK. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
