Jesse was born in Cushing, Okla. on Oct. 8, 1925 to Jesse Murray and Myrtle Alice (Phillips) Murray.
Jesse started his career with SW Bell in July 1950 as a frameman and retired in 1984 as an outside plant engineer after 34 years of service.
In 1946 he met his future wife Beverly Emig on a blind date at Katz Drug Store and married her two years later on Jan. 31, 1948. They stayed in love and happily married for 70 years. During that marriage Jesse and Beverly had five children, Linda, Shirley, Steve, Carol and Larry.
Jesse began building his and Beverly's dream house in Edmond starting in 1961 building it piece by piece for five years and finally finished in the summer of 1966. Many summer days he spent with Beverly at the lake house which is still in the family. Jesse was also an avid OU Football and OKC Thunder Fan watching every game.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Myrtle; one brother Lewis Murray of Albany, Ore.; and one child Shirley Murray of the home.
