Jerry's Story

Jerry Louise Farthing Priddy, age 85, of Edmond, Okla., passed away February 28, 2016 in Edmond. She was born June 26, 1930 in Muskogee, Okla., to Edwin Darcy Farthing and Essie Margaret Moore. Jerry was a pastor’s wife for most of her life. She loved working with children and ran a daycare in Hugoton, Kan. She was a member of Quail Springs Baptist Church and spent most of her life teaching Sunday school and vacation bible school at the churches Charles pastored. Jerry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married Rev. Charles William Priddy on May 28, 1950. To this union six children were born: a daughter Tara, and husband Max Hardy of Piedmont, Okla., a son Blayde Priddy of Vinemont, Ala., a son Strone Priddy and wife Holly of Wellston, Okla.; a son Lance Priddy and wife Dana of Edmond; a daughter Lynette and husband Rick Kroeker of Edmond, and her son Shawn Priddy and wife Kim of Piedmont, Okla. Jerry is preceded in death by her parents, half-brothers, a half-sister, and loving husband Rev. Charles Priddy. Jerry is survived by her six children; her sister Virginia Markle; her half-sister Daina Farthing; 17 grandchildren: Bobbi Heath, Courtney Shettron, Brock Hardy, Brett Hardy, Jennifer Priddy, Shane Priddy, Shannon Long, Sidnea Vaughn, Courtney Hopkins, Tanner Priddy, Taran Priddy, Rance Kroeker, Charli Kroeker, Kandi Kroeker, Hayden Priddy, Koy Priddy and Dax Priddy along with 20 great-grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Crawford Funeral Service, 610 NW 178th St. Edmond, OK 73012.
