Jack Cameron Taylor Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away June 22, 2016. Jack was born in Sweetwater, Texas, on August 12, 1930. He married Rosalee Stephens on August 12, 1951. He later married Carol Bode.
Survivors include his children, Jack Taylor, Jr. and wife Joy of Edmond, Jill Best and husband David of Edmond, Julie Bigham and husband Craig of Edmond, Jon Taylor and wife Karen of Lees Summit, Mo., John Bode and wife Alisha of Edmond and Laura Bode-Green and husband Fred of Edmond. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Angie Demunbrun and husband Hadley, Andy Best and wife Lauren, Ryan Taylor, Austin and Ross Taylor, Ryan Hall, Cole Bigham, Jonah Green, along with his great grandchildren Jared and Hunter Demumbrun and Peyton and Pierce Best. Other survivors include his sisters, Gene Whisenhunt of Tulsa, Okla., and Sarah Lee of Canyon Country, Calif.
We love you Papa, and we are so thankful for your wonderful presence in our lives. "You will forever live in our hearts."
Jack proudly served in the US Navy. He was a professional fabric salesman for 60 years covering Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas and Arkansas. He loved entertaining family, friends, and customers with his jokes and stories.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimers Association or Free to Live organization. The family would like to express their gratitude for the special care given by Autumn Leaves, Faith Hospice and Sooner Hospice.
