Harold Kerfoot, age 82, of Guthrie, Okla., passed away September 1, 2016 in Guthrie. He was born on March 9, 1934 in Crescent, Okla., to Randolph T. and Helen (Detwiler) Kerfoot.
Harold graduated from Crescent High School in 1953. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Harold married Bessie Melvina Gambill on May 3, 1959 at Noble Avenue Baptist Church in Guthrie. They had lived in Guthrie for 53 years and he was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Harold enjoyed motorcycle riding and belonged to the Christian Motorcycle Assn. His favorite hobby was giving people a hard time. He also enjoyed farming, gardening and staying busy.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 10, at Community Church in Guthrie. Services are under the direction on Hayes Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife Melvina; daughter Kelli Witcher and husband Jerry of Guthrie, two sisters, Corinne Kerfoot of Eugene, Ore., and Lura Reschke of Hotchkiss, Colo.; two grandchildren, Susan Ferguson and Kyle Witcher, two great grandchildren, Kaylee Ferguson and Jayce Harding; special friend Joy Godby and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Helen Kerfoot; two brothers, Howard Kerfoot and Lee Kerfoot, and grandson Brandon Witcher.
