We celebrate our mother, Dorothy Rowe Campbell Vandenack, who left this world Feb. 15, 2018. She was born in Chicago, Ill. on March 12, 1930 to George and Irma Rowe.
After graduating from Amundsen High School, she married Robert Campbell and had two children. Dorothy went to school at Institute of Applied Science and later taught fingerprinting. She married Romen Vandenack in January 1965. They moved to Edmond, Okla. in 1991. Dorothy was a member of T.O.P.S club and became a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. She loved to bake, knit, crotchet and read.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers George and Harold; and her husband Van.
Dorothy leaves behind her daughter Patricia Greenemeyer of Edmond; son Martin Vandenack (Patricia) of Carol Stream, Ill.; son Robert Campbell (Earlene) of Belvedere, Ill.; a loving goddaughter Edith Tragasz of Mt. Prospect, Ill.; 12 cherished grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren who will all miss her dearly.
Services were held Tuesday at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Edmond.
