Donna Kay (Roberts) Emig left this life on November 18, 2017 in Edmond, Okla. Her family is mourning her passing after a brief illness.
She was born December 26, 1952 to Charles and Virginia Roberts in Edmond. She grew up in Edmond and graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in 1970.
She was a homemaker and for a brief time was a truck driver, and she loved Oklahoma roads. She enjoyed making flower arrangements, gardening, being with family, and until her illness loved driving her black Chevy Silverado.
She was preceded in death by her father Charles Roberts, husband Steve Emig, two great nieces Courtney and Tessa, maternal grandparents Orlan and Stella Pickard, paternal grandparents Hubert and Virgie Roberts and longtime companion "Rosie" her beloved retriever.
She is survived by her mother Virginia Roberts of Edmond, sister Judy waggoner and husband Kent of Oklahoma City, Okla., sister Pam Roberts of Edmond, brother Leroy Roberts and wife Janice of Edmond, son Chris Roberts and wife Dawna Jo of Oklahoma City, grandchildren Matthew, Josh and Jordan of Oklahoma City, uncles Bob Roberts and wife Chris of Cushing, Okla. and Tommy Pickard and wife Barbara of Edmond, a number of nieces, great nieces and nephews, a number of cousins, friends and her special longtime friend Diane Meyer.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2017 at Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond.
