Debra Jo (Exendine) Williams, 63, of Deer Park, Ill., formerly of Edmond, Okla., passed away at JourneyCare Hospice of Glenview on November 23, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois Exendine and Joe Exendine and is survived by her husband, David Williams; daughters, Amanda Grandlienard and Meredith Williams; and grandchildren Jordan, Caleb and Carter. She also leaves behind her two sisters and brother, Renee, Denise and Joe Exendine, brother and sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Debra was an active member of The Delaware Nation of Native American Indians. She completed her BA in History and Minor in Bible from Oklahoma Christian University; her BS in Nursing from Texas Womans University and her Masters in Nursing from St. Louis University. She was deeply committed to her career in psychiatric nursing and a devoted, full-time volunteer for The American Red Cross. Above all though were God and family. Family always came first to Debra and she enjoyed time with her grandchildren above all in her last 10 years of life.
