Text size

Deborah Lynn Rhodes, of Denison, Texas, was commended into the arms of Our LORD peacefully at 5 a.m. April 21, 2016. She fought the good fight for six months but the LORD needed her and saw fit to bless her and call her home. Deborah was the eldest daughter of Leo X. Wooden and Peggy Sue Wooden - Schmidt of Edmond, Okla. Deborah graduated from Edmond High Class of '69. She married her lifelong love and friend, John, in the spring of 1970. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Aimee K. Rhodes and Hayden R. Rhodes- Johnson, both of Dallas.
Deborah was always very involved as a volunteer and loved to spend her time with the newborns at Mercy Health Center during the years the family lived in Oklahoma. The family relocated to Birmingham Ala., in 1989 where Deborah worked for American Airlines and several big eight accounting firms in her vocation. She and her husband returned to the area in 1999 to retire, and had only recently moved to the new home in Denison.
On Monday May 2, the family will celebrate a Life Memorial Service in her honor at Southside Baptist Church in Denison, Texas. The family has requested that all gift considerations be directed to the American Cancer Society in her name.
