Betty's Story

On Jan. 15, 2018, Betty joined her beloved husband, Lavon J. Clayton. She was born March 14, 1935, in Manitou, Okla. Betty spent the majority of her adult life in Edmond, Okla., working with her husband in their insurance business.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Duncan, Okla. under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers are Tim Mills, Chance Lowther, Stephen Wells, Rodney Lowther, Kameron Kornele, and Hunter Mills.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday Jan. 20.
Betty is survived by her three children, Patricia 'Trish' A. Lowther, Larry L. Clayton and Billy B. Clayton; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Berniece Dorman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Ray Wells and sister, Esta Lee Hinton.
The family expresses a very heartfelt "Thank You" to Humanity Hospice for the tender care they provided to our loved one.
