Beth Kennedy, 88, of Edmond, Okla., passed away April 4, 2017. The family will receive guests 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 7, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK.
A native of Edmond, Mrs. Kennedy was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Edmond and Realty Mortgage and Sales Company, Oklahoma City.
She is survived by her three sons, Alan and wife Cheryl of Lytle, Texas, Kurtis of Edmond, Mark and wife Kathy of Edmond, seven grandchildren, Gregg of Las Vegas, Nev., Amy Weston of Moore, Okla., Jennifer Miller and husband Kevin, Wes Kennedy and wife Jennifer, Jason Kennedy of Edmond, Will Kennedy and wife Ericka of Edmond and Karly Meadows and husband John of Edmond. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, Joshua and Caleb Weston, Dillon Kennedy, Haden, Dallas and Lindley Ayers, Mark William Kennedy II and Abigail "Abby" Kennedy. Beth is also survived by her sisters, Bette Schwab of Louisville, Ky. and Rose Suenram of Fredericksburg, Texas, several nieces and nephews, and two step great-grandchildren, Alissa and Chance Meadows.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald R. Kennedy, parents, William R. "Bill" and Velma McBroom Green, brothers, William R. Green, Jr. and Thomas E. Green and great-granddaughter, Ashlie Johnson.
