Anthony Brian Smith


Funeral services for Anthony Brian Smith, of Edmond, Okla., will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at the Crawford Family Funeral Home in Edmond, with Celebrant Becky Johnson officiating. Interment will be 3 p.m., that afternoon, at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis, Okla.
Anthony was born Jan. 28, 1969, in Chickasha, Okla., to Richard W. and Sherry E. (Willis) Smith. He died Friday, April 26, 2019, in Edmond, at the age 50 years. Anthony and the former Ms. Devin Cooper of Davis, Okla., were married Jan. 1, 2000, in Yukon, Okla.
Anthony grew up in Surrey Hills, graduating from Yukon High School in 1989. He joined the United States Navy in 1990, serving until he received an Honorable Discharge in 1994. Anthony later attended Oklahoma State University, earning a bachelor's degree in Construction Management. Most of his career was spent in construction, with his last 18 months working as a project manager for W&W Steel.
Anthony was very devoted to his family. As long as he was in their company, life was good. Together, they enjoyed being outdoors, camping, going to the beach or to the lakes. He was a member of the Construction Management Society, the Associated General Contractors and the National Association of Home Builders.
Survivors include his wife, Devin; son, Conner Smith; daughter, Catelynn Smith, all of Edmond; his parents, Richard and Sherry Smith of Yukon; brother, Aaron Smith and wife Misty of Yukon; sister, Christy Kruchten and husband Billy of Centennial, Colo.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Chuck and Vickie Cooper of Davis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Anthony was preceded in death by one daughter, Cami Smith in 2003.
