Angela's Story

Text size

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Angela Marie Brumley, born June 23, 1938, passed away peacefully in her home in Edmond, Okla., on Jan. 5, 2018 surrounded by her loving husband of 53 years and their three daughters.
First generation from Lucca, Italy, Angela Maria Lilliana Belluomini was born in Bakersfield, Calif. She grew up with a passion for people, culture and travel. Her favorite childhood memories were the times spent with family at her grandparent's house in Italy. At the age of eighteen Angela moved to San Francisco, Calif. Determined to experience the world, she became a Pan Am international stewardess and moved to New York. She married Seth V. Brumley, Jr. in 1964. They spent many wonderful years living overseas in Beirut, Lebanon, Benghazi, Libya, Laren, Holland and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil while Seth worked for Bank of America. They returned to the states, initially living in Miami, Fla. before settling down in Edmond in 1977. She made lifelong friends everywhere she went. Her true compassion for others, unconditional love and quirky sense of humor drew people to her. Actively involved in charity work her entire life, she shared that passion with Edmond and Oklahoma City. She has left a timeless story of precious memories and life lessons that her ten grandchildren and generations to come will continue to share.
Angela was preceded in death by her mother and father, Elena and Peter Belluomini, and brother Monsignor Ralph Belluomini.
Angela is survived by her brothers, Gabriel Belluomini, and Michael and wife Christine Belluomini; husband, Seth Vernon Brumley, Jr.; daughters, Eva and husband David Saltonstall of Mission Viejo, Calif., Anna and husband Eric Rognas of Edmond, Okla. and Yara and husband Joe Ford of Edmond, Okla.; and 10 beautiful grandchildren.
At Angela's request, no services will be held. A private ceremony and scattering of her ashes will take place in Italy.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her honor to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
God blessed us all with the precious gift of being part of her life.
