Alynda's Story

Alynda Emiline Harders-Bly age 72, of Edmond, Okla., went to be with the Lord on Friday evening, September 23, 2016, peacefully surrounded by family. She will be greatly missed!!!
She was born in Woodville, Okla., to parents Carl T. and Martha E. Evans of Madill, Okla. She loved fishing ... she taught all of her kids to fish, bird watching and nature. She was a person that loved doing her crafts. She kept herself busy with her hobbies and involvement with church group friends where she lived at Oklahoma Christian Apartments. She will be remembered for her courage in battling pain and illness, her unwavering spirit and positive attitude along with her Bible knowledge and love for the Lord. She loved her Western and science fiction shows and reading mystery novels. She was likened to her aunt, Anna Belle while young. She loved her family gatherings and above all, she loved God!!!
Alynda was preceded in death by her parents; brother Alfred C Evans of Madill, Okla., and sister, Juanita C. Robertson of Edmond.
Alynda is survived by brothers Everett T Evans of Birmingham, Ala., and Elvis J Evans of Lago Vista, Texas; daughters Sonya Sivils of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Shannon Streithorst of Conroe, Texas; son Shad Hartley (Sheri) of Oklahoma City; grandchildren Brandy Lewis of Pearland, Texas, Melissa Bebe of Colorado, Joshua Tinker of Oklahoma City, Nicholas and Christopher Riffle of Conroe, Texas, Melody and Aubry Hartley of Oklahoma City, and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 29, at First Baptist Church of Edmond. Flowers and cards may be sent to First Baptist Church of Edmond, 1300 East 33rd Street, Edmond, OK 73013. Interment will be by family at Woodberry Forest Cemetery of Madill, Okla.
